Final Oscar ballots were mailed on Wednesday to around 5,800 members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Recipients will cast their votes on the ballot forms for the best 2008 movie, actor, actress, director and 20 other categories, organizers said.

Ballots need to be mailed back by February 17, just ahead of the February 22 Oscar ceremony in Hollywood at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center. The award ceremony will be televised live by the ABC Television Network with Hugh Jackman stepping into the host spot for the first time.
