'Charlie bashing' has been a popular global sport for quite some time now. His rehab stints, porn-star girlfriends, and sensational quotes have helped sell millions of copies of tabloids and sent TV-channel viewership soaring across the world. Believe it or not, there exists a book titled The Totally Bitchin' Charlie Sheen Coloring Book!

Apparently, all the world loves to hate Charlie Sheen. Charlie himself has said, I'm personally trying to change my image and change things about myself but they don't want to let it die. I guess there are more sales in controversy. They should change the title of Hard Copy to Hard Charlie or Sheen Copy, Christ I'm on there twice a week I should get some royalties maybe.

Does all news about Charlie Sheen have to be controversial and scandalous? Does the favorite bad boy of Hollywood have no redeeming qualities at all? Here is some interesting trivia about Charlie that may surprise many.

Best known for his acting skills, Charlie has worn many hats. He is a poet, screenplay writer, and producer. He has launched a clothing line called 'Sheen Kids' and has also taken up a new business venture as a partner in a line of electronic cigarettes called 'NicoSheen'. The packages of these disposable E-cigarettes will carry Charlie's signature smirk.

He has been donating and supporting Aid for AIDS since 2006 and was the 2004 spokesperson for the Lee National Denim Day breast cancer fundraiser that raised millions of dollars for research and education regarding the disease.

He has 12 tattoos on his person, including one on his chest which looks like a note pinned to it with the words, 'Be Back in 15 Minutes'.

Charlie was a 'blue baby' and nearly died at birth. As a gesture of gratitude for saving Charlie's life, his parents, Martin and Janet Sheen, named him after the doctor - Irwin - and thus, he got his birth name 'Carlos Irwin Estévez'.  On becoming an actor, Charlie took on his screen name.

After being sacked from the popular TV sitcom, Two and a Half Men, Charlie has been sporting enough to endorse John Stamos and Rob Lowe as his replacements. He was quoted as saying, I think they're both fabulous.

In 2011, Charlie Sheen set a new Guinness World Record for Twitter as the 'Fastest time to Reach 1 Million Followers' as well as the record for 'Highest Paid TV Actor per Episode - Current' (when he was part of Two and a Half Men).

My father gave me some pretty bad advice - keep it honest, which I did, says Charlie. They call me the last honest man in Hollywood.

Maybe he is not so bad after all.
