Madeleine McGraw, who plays the daughter of Kyle Barnes (Patrick Fugit) in the Cinemax exorcism drama, has been promoted to series regular, according to Deadline.

McGraw started out in the industry as Bradley Cooper's daughter McKenna in 2014's “American Sniper.” Apart from her stint on the Cinemax show, the young actress also voices the character of Rita on Cartoon Network's “Clarence.”

The show's creator Robert Kirkman, who also created “The Walking Dead,” teased that while the series will stay rather faithful to the comics on which it is based on, the show will take a different approach in telling the story.

“There's a lot of room to build up characters that don't necessarily have as much to do in the comic, and there's a lot of paths we can diverge on along the way,” Kirkman told Entertainment Weekly.

The producer continued: “When you look at where the comic ends up and where the show ends up, they're gonna be on a fairly similar path but there's gonna be a lot of differences along the way.”

The series was picked up for another season three months before its first run, according to Variety. The announcement was made at the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas.

“Outlander” season 2 has not been given a premiere date yet.
