outlander season 1b
A new promo video for "Outlander" Season 1 shows Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) in danger. Starz

Great news, “Outlander” fans -- the second half of Season 1 is only four months away. That’s still pretty far off, but luckily, Starz has released a promo video for the upcoming episodes. There is definitely a dark tone, but it's hard to tell exactly what’s happening. Obviously, everyone caught Claire’s (Caitriona Balfe) declaration, “I never counted on loving you.” However, plenty of other footage was shown. The promo is only 20 seconds long, so we got the pause button ready and tried to find the moments you may have missed. It looks like the beginning of Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire’s marriage is going to be a little less sexy and a lot more dangerous.

1. Claire And Jamie Are Free

The couple was left in a sticky situation at the end of the midseason finale. Capt. Jonathan "Black Jack" Randall (Tobias Menzies) was about to rape Claire, but Jamie came in right before he violated her. “I’d thank you to take your hands off my wife,” Jamie said.

Claire and Jamie are shown in the woods on their own, so we have to assume they escape. However, the way Jamie is holding Claire makes us wonder if Black Jack managed to hurt her.

2. Claire Will Be Taken Again

Her freedom might not be for long, though. Claire is seen being pulled through town by a rope. No redcoats are in sight, though. Men in kilts are holding the rope. It seems that the Scottish have reason to believe Claire is a criminal.

3. Jamie Gets Stabbed

It appears that someone stabs Jamie. We don’t see who it is, but there are Englishmen in the background.

4. Geillis Is In Danger

Geillis (Lotte Verbeek) is only on screen for a second, but she looks quite worried. “Outlander” readers know that she is about to take drastic measures against someone close to her. Those actions might make her a criminal.
