Jamie (Sam Heughan) will not have an easy time in the "Outlander" Season 1 finale. Starz

CORRECTION: This article originally did not list the correct air date for the "Outlander" finale. The correct air date is May 30.

“Outlander” Season 1 is coming to an end, and it doesn’t look like anyone will have a happy ending. In the penultimate episode of the season, Jamie (Sam Heughan) was left in the prison being tortured by Capt. Black Jack Randall (Tobias Menzies). Though Claire (Caitriona Balfe) came close to saving him, she was stopped. Murtagh (Duncan Lacroix) had a plan involving a lot of cows, and they’ll have to see if his unconventional plan actually works.

If the anticipation for the “Outlander” Season 1 finale is just too much to handle, take a look at these spoilers:

1. Darkness. After Black Jack tortured Jamie last week, some audiences might be hoping for a happier episode, but it’ll only get more twisted. "The last two episodes really go to some dark places, some deep psychological places. Going into the project, we all knew that's going to be a big deal and we have to really figure out how we're going to handle that," showrunner Ron Moore told Zap2it. "It took a lot of work. I'm very proud of the actors."

2. Jack’s history. In a new promo video, Jack talks about how misunderstood he is. It looks like we’ll find out more about the sociopath in the “Outlander” finale.

3. More torture. Jack’s last line in episode 15 was, “Shall we begin?” Expect to see more graphic scenes that are sure to make you uncomfortable.

4. Jamie is rescued. Jamie is saved, but that doesn't mean he is OK. “Fear not, Murtagh’s plan to rescue Jamie is successful! But it isn’t Jamie’s survival that you should be worried about,” Entertainment Weekly reports. “Rather, it’s the emotional effects from the trauma he endured while with Black Jack.”

5. Can Claire heal Jamie? Claire will try her best to help her husband. “At a nearby monastery, Claire attempts to save both Jamie’s heart and soul as his mind lingers on the torture,” the synopsis teases. However, Jamie might need a lot more than his wife's support to heal his psychological wounds.

6. Page to screen changes. Even readers of Diana Gabaldon’s best-selling novels won’t be prepared for the ending. E! Online reports that an important location was moved and the timeline of events is different from the books.

The “Outlander” Season 1 finale airs Saturday, May 30, at 9 p.m. EDT on Starz.
