Sam Heughan teased his mastery of the French language for “Outlander” Season 2 recently. The main cast members will be travelling to France in the storyline in the next season and many new French actors have been cast for the show.

Heughan was at the Monte Carlo Television Festival recently and a new video featuring the actor talking in French has surfaced online from the event. The video, posted on OutlanderTVNews, shows the actor being asked to show fans how much French he had learned for the TV series.

The actor was reportedly given an “infamous” French tongue-twister and he quickly realized he was being tested by the fans. “This is a test now, huh?” the actor asked before saying the tongue-twister without a break. The report notes that the actor’s French “sounds pretty good.”

In a previous interview with IndieWire, Heughan had said they were shooting three episodes for the next Season at that time. “We’ve been doing night shoots this week. I'm pretty dead,” the actor said. The actor said that most of the scenes of interiors were filmed in Scotland, some of the scenes were being filmed at Versailles in France, and others were being filmed in England.

“Outlander” Season 2 will be “very alien to home,” the actor said. The main story of Heughan’s character Jamie and Caitriona Balfe’s character Claire will be about overcoming what happened to them in the first season and finding their place “in a different world,” the actor revealed.

A new cast member will be Claire Sermonne, an announcement in this tweet on the show's official Twitter account confirmed. The actress will be playing the role of Loise De Rohan. According to a report by Yahoo, Sermonne has trained in theatre, song and dance in the Conservatory of the Dramatic Arts in Paris and in the Moscow Art Theatre.

Meanwhile, Balfe won the Best Actress in a Television Series award at the 41st SaturnAwards. Heughan congratulated her in this tweet. The two actors will be seen together again in “Outlander” Season 2 by early 2016.
