On Day 3 of her One Nation bus tour, Sarah Palin and Company, made a visit to the Gettysburg battlefield and cemetery Tuesday morning.

To get there, Palin, the former Alaska governor and 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee, sneaked out the front door of her hotel while her aides pulled the One Nation bus up to the back entrance, thwarting the plans of question-filled journalists and autograph-seeking fans waiting for her, the New York Times reported.

And while reporters will still probably get an opportunity to hear from Palin, whose tour of historical sites is set to continue, they are not particularly privy to the destination schedule. And this is just how Palin wants it.

They want, kind of, the conventional idea of, 'we want a schedule, we want to follow you, we want you to bring us along with you'. I want them to have to do a little bit of work on a tour like this, and that would include not necessarily telling them beforehand where every stop is going to be, Palin told Fox News's Greta Van Susteren, who traveled with her on the bus on Monday. The media can figure out where we're going if they do their investigative work.

According to the New York Times, reporters following the bus as it left Gettysburg Tuesday morning were expecting to be in Philadelphia to view the Liberty Bell by the afternoon.

It is conjectured that Palin might head up to New York to see the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, eventually ending up in New Hampshire, the site of the first presidential primary of the 2012 campaign.
