Michael Jackson’s daughter Paris is said to be doing well after she attempted suicide early Wednesday morning. The 15-year-old had been posting morose tweets around the same time she slit her wrists with a kitchen knife and left a note.

After she’s been receiving love and well wishes from Twitter users, her uncles Tito, Jackie and Mario told TMZ Paris is safe now. "Thank you for the outpouring of concern and support for Paris,” the uncles said in a statement. “She is safe and doing fine. We truly appreciate you respecting our family privacy at this time.”

Spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department Steve Whitmore told Us Weekly: "We responded to a call regarding a medical situation at 1:27 a.m. When we arrived, the paramedics were giving medical treatment to the patient. Treatment was offered and given. The patient was then transported to a local hospital."

An insider, who confirmed Paris’ suicide attempt to the celebrity magazine, explained she’s been having a hard time dealing with her father’s death. "She has major depression issues, a lot of it stemming from her dad's death."

"It's very real and very sad," the sourced added. "She has been extremely depressed and not been able to sleep lately, staying up all night."

It hasn’t been confirmed why she attempted suicide Tuesday, but TMZ reported she wanted to go to a Marilyn Manson concert and then threw a fit when she found out she wasn’t allowed to go.

Katherine Jackson’s lawyer Perry Sanders told the news site: "Being a sensitive 15-year-old is difficult no matter who you are. It is especially difficult when you lose the person closest to you."
