A new book about French President Francois Hollande by one of France's star novelists Laurent Binet gives readers an insight into the Former President Nicholas Sarkozy's personality: namely that he doesn't like to be alone, gets up at 4 am, has an "unexpectedly fragile" ego, and indulges in the Churchillian habit of smoking cigars.

Also amusing are Current President Francoise Hollande's opinions of his predecessor. According to the Guardian's Angelique Chrisafis, he regularly called Sarkozy an "injurious bastard," and took his presidential victory as personal revenge on Sarkozy.

The book, called "Rien Ne Se Passe Comme Prevu" (Nothing Happens As Predicted) will be published next week.
