Dirty Dancing and Ghost star, Patrick Swayze, died today following a long battle with cancer.

Swayze was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in January 2008. A publicist for Swayze confirmed the death of the actor, the Associated Press reported today. He was 58.

In 1991, Swayze was named People's Sexiest Man Alive.

Swayze lived on a ranch outside Los Angeles with his wife, Lisa Niemi, a professional dancer.
