Paul McCartney performed at Citi Field in New York City Friday night pleasing his fans with songs from his days with the Beatles, his next band Wings, and solo albums.

Over 42,000 attendants filled the home of the New York Mets. In 1965, The Beatles performed a historic rock concert in the Shea Stadium, which now has been demolished.

At the time about 55,000 attendants went to watch the young men (McCartney was 23), perform at the largest ever rock concert, USA Today notes.
