Divorce certainly appears to agree with Paul Nassif. The former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” spouse revealed that he has lost 19 pounds since his split from Adrienne Maloof and plans to continue getting into better shape.

According to a report by In Touch Weekly, the Beverly Hills plastic surgeon is using some of his free time to eat healthier and is now going running regularly. Nassif, 51, might also be motivated to get into shape by his new girlfriend, former Miss Nevada Helen Salas.

“I've lost about 19 pounds, and I do two things,” Nassif told the magazine.“One: calorie counting -- calorie in and calorie out, that's No. 1. Two: working out six days a week. I got into running and ran 10.15 miles last week.”

But while the weight loss might be an added perk of working out, Nassif said his workout regimen was centered on getting into better physical shape. “I'm gonna run a half marathon in Napa in July,” he said. “Plus, all these boot camps and lifting and all that stuff.”

Nassif’s new exercise goals may come as something of a shock to “Real Housewives” viewers, who watched on as Nassif’s ex-wife, Maloof, frequently teased him for not being in better shape. Nassif and Maloof are currently embroiled in a custody battle over their three sons, Gavin, 9, Christian, 7, and Colin, 7. Despite the ongoing legal battle, Nassif said he was hopeful that he would get to celebrate Father’s Day with his sons. “Hopefully, my kids will all come out to brunch with me, but I don't know,” he said.

Maloof, who recently stunned viewers when she announced that she would not be appearing in another season of the Bravo reality show, is currently dating Sean Stewart, the son of British rocker Rod Stewart. Maloof recently told E! News that she is focusing on film, TV and expanding her fashion endeavors into a jewelry line.

"I am in a great place and so excited about the future," Maloof told the publication. "I am working on some huge projects for television and also concentrating on producing a film, so it's a very dynamic time right now."

"I am grateful for the platform 'Housewives' gave me," she added. "It was a fantastic experience, but now it's time for something new."
