Paul Walker’s untimely death has spurred various different Internet hoaxes, with the most recent claiming to have “shocking” footage of the car crash. If anyone has seen this on Facebook, be aware that it’s misleading. The video must be shared before it can be viewed and doesn’t have actual footage of the crash.

Make sure to stay away from the video if it has the following message above what claims to be footage from the crash in Los Angeles last Saturday.

“Actor Paul Walker, who shot to fame as star of the high-octane street racing franchise ‘Fast & Furious,’ died Saturday in a car crash in Southern California,” the post says. “He was 40. Walker was a passenger in a friend's 2005 Porsche Carrera GT and both were attending a charity event for his organization, Reach Out Worldwide, in the community of Valencia in Santa Clarita, about 30 miles north of Hollywood.”

“We have a user submitted video of the crash that we think the world should see. Watch it below.”

But do not watch the video. The link will appear on a user’s personal Facebook page and beckon their friends to watch. The link has a picture of a man’s face with Walker’s likeness and a large gash running down the face, but don’t be fooled. The picture is another hoax that has swept the Web in the days after the 40-year-old star’s death and could be a virus.

Walker had been traveling in a 2005 red Porsche Carrera GT with his friend and business partner Roger Rodas behind the wheel when the driver lost control of the exotic sports car. After hitting a tree, the car burst into flames, with friends and family members unable to save the men inside the burning car.

The Hollywood hunk had just started to film another movie for the “Fast & Furious” franchise at the time of his death. His daughter Meadow Rain Walker, 15, survives him.

Rodas, 38, leaves behind a son, a daughter and wife.
