Tyrese Gibson made headlines for his impromptu appearance Sunday at the crash site where his “Fast & Furious” co-star Paul Walker died, but according to the mourning actor, he isn’t helping Walker's family plan the funeral, despite reports that he has been heavily involved in the planning.

On Tuesday, E! News reported that Gibson, 34, was aiding the Walker family in planning the funeral service, reporting that he met with the family Sunday evening to discuss plans following Walker’s untimely death in a fiery car crash near Los Angeles Saturday. “E! News has learned that the actor is helping his fallen 'Fast and the Furious' co-star's family put together funeral arrangements,” reported the site.

In response to the claims, Gibson released a statement on his official Twitter account Wednesday, debunking the rumors.

Since releasing the statement, Gibson has shared some kind words about Walker, with whom he co-starred in four “Fast & Furious” films, including the franchise’s upcoming, unfinished film, “Fast & Furious 7.” “We love you forever Mr. Walker,” Gibson posted late Wednesday.

On Wednesday, the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office released the completed autopsies for the two victims of the Nov. 30 crash in Santa Clarita, Calif., which is believed to have killed Walker and his longtime friend Roger Rodas, who was driving the car. While the two identities of the crash victims have yet to be officially released, CNN reported that the final autopsy reports state Walker died from a combination of traumatic and thermal injuries.

Following the death of Walker, a star of the “Fast & Furious” film franchise since 2001, Universal Pictures released a statement Wednesday confirming that “Fast & Furious 7" has been put on hold.At this time we feel it is our responsibility to shut down production on ‘Fast & Furious 7' for a period of time so we can assess all options available to move forward with the franchise,” said the statement, adding, “Right now, all of us at Universal are dedicated to providing support to Paul’s immediate family and our extended 'Fast & Furious' family of cast, crew and filmmakers.”
