Miley Cyrus isn’t the only one who can twerk. Robin Thicke’s other half, Paula Patton, twerked with Al Roker on the "Today" show when he asked her questions about Cyrus and Thicke’s infamous performance at the MTV Video Music Awards. The actress explained that twerking is essentially allowed in their marriage.

Even though the rest of the country might have felt uncomfortable with their collaboration, Patton wasn’t shocked, she said on “Watch What Happens Live” Tuesday, as quoted by Us Weekly. "I wasn't surprised at all," she said.

"Honestly, they rehearsed for three days beforehand, and I don't know how not to dance with someone having their booty in your ... all my friends do it like that. And I don't really know what the big deal is."

"I don't understand. I didn't get the big deal," she continued.

Cyrus also didn’t see what the big taboo was about, and told MTV: "They're overthinking it.” She added, "You're thinking about it more than I thought about it when I did it. Like, I didn't even think about it 'cause that's just me."

But there was something that caught Patton off guard. The “Mission: Impossible- Ghost Protocol” star said she didn’t expect fans to react to the performance with such shock. "I didn't know if they thought Miley was going to sit down and play piano like Alicia Keys. Her song's about taking molly!"

People have generally been just as surprised that Patton hasn’t been bothered by her husband’s risqué act with the controversial 20-year-old singe and on the “Today Show” Wednesday morning she proved why. She told Roker that twerking is how everyone dances at the clubs now and added that her friends even dance with Thicke that way, according to Us Weekly.

As if that wasn’t enough, Patton, in her tight leopard-print dress, stood up and twerked with the famous weather anchor. "Your wife's [Deborah Roberts] not going to get mad at you is she?" she asked.

Thicke and Patton were teenage sweethearts and have been married since 2005. They have one child together: a son, Julian, 3.

Though Patton was completely fine with the unforgettable routine, Cyrus’ ex-fiancé Liam Hemsworth, on the other hand, was reportedly “disgusted” by her racy performance, which could be one of the reasons why the young lovers are no longer together.
