The People’s Choice Awards, which honors the year’s favorite movies, shows and music – voted on by the public – air tonight. Allison Janney and Anna Faris, stars of the hit CBS comedy “Mom” are hosting the event, which kicks off at 9 p.m. EST on CBS. Who will take home the top awards?

Here is a list of the biggest awards’ nominees and predictions for the big night:

Favorite Movie

Nominees:

  • “22 Jump Street”
  • “Captain America: The Winter Soldier”
  • “Guardians of the Galaxy”

  • “X-Men: Days of Future Past.”

Prediction: Expect 2014’s highest grossing movie, the hilarious and action packed “Guardians of the Galaxy,” to take home the trophy.

Prediction: We’ll go with heartthrob Channing Tatum, hot off his hit comedy “22 Jump Street,” to come out on top here.

Prediction: It’s hard to bet against Jennifer Lawrence at any award show these days, especially fresh off the latest “Hunger Games” release.

  • “NCIS”
  • “Once Upon a Time”
  • “The Walking Dead”

Prediction: We think “Game of Thrones” and its legion of obsessed fans will take the throne for this award.

Favorite Network TV Comedy

  • “Modern Family”
  • “Mom”
  • “New Girl”

Prediction: We’re calling a repeat win for “The Big Bang Theory” here. The CBS comedy took home the award in 2014.

Prediction: Chris Colfer won last year for “Glee,” don’t expect any change here.

Prediction: “The Big Bang Theory” is unstoppable, give Kaley Cuoco the nod here.

Prediction: All the faithful gladiators out there will make “Scandal” the winner this year. Plus, hasn’t this pretty much been the year of Shonda Rhimes?

Prediction: Kerry Washington’s Olivia Pope can’t be stopped on “Scandal” and we don’t think anyone is stopping Washington here.

Prediction: Newcomer Sam Smith, whose album “In the Lonely Hour” dominated the charts, should be the winner here.

  • Taylor Swift

Prediction: When you have Beyoncé going against Taylor Swift it’s hard to pick a winner, but this year we’ll take Swift, who could not be hotter right now.

  • OneRepublic

Prediction: Expect Maroon 5 to ride the Adam Levine train to victory here.
