Lady Gaga alleged celebrity blogger Perez Hilton is stalking her, making him a part of the story this time instead of writing about it. On Sunday, the pop diva took to her Twitter account to make her allegation against the writer, which prompted many of her fans to attack Hilton on the social-media site.

At first, Hilton, whose real name is Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr., didn’t respond to the “Applause” singer’s accusation, but on Sunday evening he issued a statement about his former friend in an article titled “A Statement On Lady GaGa’s Lies.” Check out either an extract below or the full text at his site:

“From Perez Hilton:

“[M]y heart hurts that my former very good friend Lady GaGa, a person I used to call my ‘wifey’ and traveled the world with, is making very public and very untrue allegations about me on Twitter.

“While it is still too painful for me to go into detail about why I chose to no longer make her a part of my life, I will say that I am a critic and not a stalker. Any allegation that I am stalking her ... is utterly false, defamatory and now appears to be putting me and my family in danger. I will continue to be a critic -- in a way that is not mean or involves name-calling, and I will continue to have an opinion and talk about music and songs, like GaGa’s ‘Applause.’

“I hope her fans stop sending me death threats, as the suggestion that I pose a danger to Lady GaGa is preposterous. If her fans want to send a message of support to Lady GaGa, they should buy her music.”

Lady Gaga’s tweets, now deleted, can be seen at the Huffington Post. On Sunday afternoon, she said Hilton tried to buy an apartment in her complex to stalk her and then asked whether she needed to be shot for people to realize she was human like everyone else.

First, she tweeted: “@perezhilton STAY AWAY FROM ME + MY FAMILY YOU ARE SICK TRYING TO RENT AN APARTMENT IN MY BUILDING TO STALK ME. LEAVE ME ALONE!!!”

Then, she continued, “DO I NEED TO BE SHOT IT IN THE HEAD FOR PEOPLE TO UNDERSTAND THAT HIM AND EVERYONE ELSE THAT HARASSES ME HAS GONE TOO FAR? IM A HUMAN BEING.”

Finally, she added: “Still have the text Perez sent me of me in a wheelchair w the words KARMA written across + Madonna pointing a gun at me. Day of my accident.”

According to the Huffington Post, Lady Gaga wasn’t in the building when the so-called harassment took place, but the building manager reportedly confirmed that Hilton had been there, scoping the area out.
