Tiger Woods is on pace to end his four-year major drought as early as Sunday.

The 14-time major champion enters Day Three of the PGA Championship in a three-way tie with Vijay Singh and Carl Petersson, posting a four-under par after two rounds.

Pettersson tees off a 2:50pm EST, with Woods and Singh right behind him at 3pm EST at the Ocean Course at Kiawah Island in South Carolina.

The course has proven difficult for most everyone else. According to ESPN.com, 41 players failed to break 80 on Friday and nine of them were ranked in the top 50.

Singh was the only player to shoot below 70, posting a 69 with five birdies on Friday.

Golf's latest phenom Rory McIlroy is only two-back of the leaderboard and within striking distance.

No Tiger comeback could be complete without rival Phil Mickelson, who is currently shooting even and in a seven-way tie for 11th place.

Woods has won the event four times in his career, doing so last in 2007.
