RTTNews - Producer prices in the Philippines fell 1.6% year-on-year in June, faster than a 0.5% drop in the preceding month, the National Statistics Office said Friday.

Nine major sectors registered price decreases, with furniture and fixtures, petroleum products and basic metals showing double-digit declines ranging between 11% and 35%. However, eleven sectors saw increase in prices.

Month-on-month, producer prices climbed 0.9% in June, reversing the 0.2% fall in the preceding month.
