It was 10 years ago on May 19th, 2001 that Apple unveiled its first two retail stores. Apple is rumored to have something big for the commemorative day. Some suggest a launch of a new product, a store revamp, Apple TV, or all of the above.

While many fans are looking forward to this week's festivities, we wanted to take a look back at how Steve Jobs introduced Apple into retail operations along with photos of their first stores.
