Pippa Middleton, sister of the Duchess of Cambridge, is all set to sign a $1.6 million book deal on how to be the perfect party hostess.

Following her maid of honour role at the royal wedding, Pippa has become a global celebrity.

It has now been reported that she is trying to secure a deal with the help of David Godwin, the literary agent who has represented a varied list of international writers, poets and biographers in the past. including Man Booker Prize-winner Arundhati Roy.

News.com.au reported that Middleton, 28, has had two meetings with publishing executives at HarperCollins and has also had discussions with other publishing houses.

Pippa is very serious about the project and has been going to meet publishers personally. Pippa hasn't signed a contract yet, but I don't think it will be far off. She is a good writer but I expect she would be offered the services of an experienced ghost writer, the Sunday Times quoted a well-placed publishing source.

Currently untitled, the book will include party etiquette tips like decoration ideas and what food to serve. It will also feature a special section on children's parties based on the blog edited by Middleton, The Party Times - part of her parents' mail order service, Party Pieces.
