Playboy model Jessica Burciaga claims she is not Kobe Bryant's mistress despite rumors that have surfaced on the internet. Bryant's wife, Vanessa, filed for divorce Friday ending the couple's 10 years of marriage.
Burciaga spoke out late Monday in Los Angeles telling TMZ that she is not the one.
Rumors initially spread on Monday via the gossip site Media Takeout that the woman behind Kobe's split from wife Vanessa might be Playboy model Jessica Burciaga. The site added that Bryant spent piles of money on gifts for the brunette beauty.
However, Burciaga took to Twitter to shoot down the rumors swirling around her. People can actually make up stories online about you and people you don't even know, she wrote. My relationships and people I've REALLY dated have never hit the Internet, but things that couldn't be FURTHER from the truth and lies always do.
The response comes following a swirl of rumors that Bryant has slept with multiple women and that his wife, Vanessa, was aware of the numerous incidents of infidelity.
The Latina beauty reportedly learned of her husband's most recent extramarital affairs from fellow basketball wives. TMZ reported that Kobe's teammates disclosed the details of his exploits to their wives, who in turn told Kobe's now-estranged wife.
Vanessa supposedly had had enough of the philandering and filed for divorce on Friday Dec. 16. The mother to his two young daughters, 8 and 5, has possession of their $4 million Newport, Cali., mansion and is entitled to half of his $150 million fortune.
While Burciaga may not be Bryant's mistress, Carla DiBello has gained attention for a picture of the pair taken last week.
The 33-year-old Los Angeles Lakers player has reportedly been on particularly friendly terms with the 27-year-old DiBello for the past two years. The two were spotted at Kanye West and Jay-Z's Watch The Throne tour in L.A. last week. Kobe was photographed watching Carla and Kardashian pose for a picture together.
