Poland's jobless rate rose to 11.2% in March from 10.9% in February, the Central Statistical Office said Monday. The rate came in line with economists' expectations. The jobless rate has increased for the fifth consecutive month in March.

During the month, the number of unemployed persons increased to 1.75 million from 1.72 million in the previous month. Of the total, about 497,200 had been out of a job for a year or longer in March, down from 501,300 in December.
