Monday, Poland's Central Statistical Office announced that the industrial producer price index or PPI rose 5.6% year-over-year in March, slower than the 5.7% increase in February, revised from 5.4% reported initially. Economists were looking an increase of 5.8%.

In March, manufacturing producer prices grew 3.3% annually and that of mining and quarrying were up 10.5%.

On a monthly basis, producer prices increased 0.1% in March, decelerating from 2.6% increase in February, revised from 2.3% estimated initially.

During the January to March period, producer prices climbed 5% compared to the same period of the previous year.
