RTTNews - Thursday, a report by Poland's Central Statistical Office said the retail sales at current prices rose 0.9% year-on-year in June, slowing from a 1.1% rise in the preceding month. Economists expected a rise of 0.5%.

During the month, other retail sales in non-specialized stores showed the biggest growth of 18.4%, followed by a 15.2% rise in sales of pharmacueticals, cosmetics and orthopaedic equipment.

On a monthly basis, retail sales at current prices were up 2.2% , following a 2.1% fall in the preceding month. Economists expected a 1.2% rise.
