RTTNews - Poland's current account surplus rose to EUR 171 million in April from EUR 75 million surplus in March, the National Bank of Poland said Wednesday. A year ago, the current account balance was a deficit of EUR 1.58 billion.

The balance on trade turned to a surplus of EUR 28 million from a deficit of EUR 77 million in March, the surplus on services trade was EUR 249 million, up from EUR 125 million in the previous month.

The capital account showed a surplus of EUR 676 million and the financial account balance swung to a surplus of EUR 2.23 billion from a deficit of EUR 597 million.
