After hitting a new multi-week high, the Poland's currency moved off against the greenback in early trading on Tuesday. The zloty touched to 3.2981 against the buck by 4:00 am Eastern Time, the highest level since January 29. Thereafter, the zloty lost ground and eased as low as 3.3634 versus the dollar by 6:35 am. The greenback-zloty pair that closed yesterday's North American deals at 3.3309 is currently trading at 3.3579.

In economic news, Poland's retail sales at current prices fell 1.6 percent annually in February, reversing the 1.3% rise in January, a report by the Central Statistical Office said today. Economists were expecting the sales to drop 0.6 percent.
