RTTNews - Tuesday, the Statistics Portugal said the gross domestic product or GDP in real terms decreased 1.6% sequentially in the first quarter, compared with a 1.8% drop in the previous quarter. The first quarter figure was revised from 1.5% fall estimated initially. A year ago, the GDP was up 0.2%.

Year-on-year, the GDP declined 3.7% in the first quarter, after falling 2% in the fourth quarter.
