Consumer Price Index for September in Portugal came in at 0.2%, higher than the prior -0.3% but lower than median forecasts of 0.3%. On the year, the reading plunged to -1.6% which is worse than the previous -1.3% anf the expected -1.5%.

As for the EU-Harmonised reading, it inclined to -0.1% from the prior -0.2%, while the annual reading plummeted to -1.8% from -1.2% a year earlier. Analysts predicted the reading to incline 0.2% on the month and to decline -1.5% on the year.
