Gainers

Atrinsic, Inc. (ATRN) stock jumped 9.38 percent to $4.55 in the after-market trading.

Makita Corp. (MKTAY) stock climbed 7.33 percent to $48.05 in the after-market trading.

Hot Topic Inc. (HOTT) stock grew 5.14 percent to $5.42 in the after-market trading. The company has appointed Lisa Harper, currently a board member, as Chief Executive Officer. The company also announced the resignation of Betsy McLaughlin as its Chief Executive Officer and a member of its board. The company said both, the resignation and the appointment will be effective as of March 21. McLaughlin will continue to assist in transition matters for the next three months.

Micromet, Inc. (MITI) stock gained 4.72 percent to $5.33 in the after-market trading.

Pacer International Inc. (PACR) stock increased 4.52 percent to $5.09 in the after-market trading. The company announced the establishment of their philanthropic relationship with the Mid-Ohio Foodbank, of central Ohio, with a $50,000 contribution commitment over five years.

Losers

Cohu, Inc. (COHU) stock fell 4.23 percent to $14.02 in the after-market trading.

James River Coal Co. (JRCC) stock tumbled 4.22 percent to $22.25 in the after-market trading. The company said it plans to offer 6 million common shares. The company plans to use the net proceeds of the offering to pay a portion of the purchase price and other costs and expenses related to its previously announced acquisition of International Resource Partners LP. Any balance net proceeds, or all proceeds if the acquisition is not consummated, will be used for general corporate purposes.

Separately, James River said it intends to concurrently offer $125 million of convertible senior notes due 2018 and $250 million of senior notes due 2019. The company also plans to grant to the initial purchasers of the convertible notes an option to buy up to an additional $18.75 million of the convertible notes solely to cover over-allotments, if any. The convertible notes will be general unsecured senior obligations of James River, will pay interest semi-annually, and will be convertible during certain periods and under certain circumstances.

James River said it plans to use the net proceeds of the senior notes offerings to pay a portion of the purchase price and other costs and expenses related to its previously announced acquisition of International Resource Partners LP and any remaining proceeds for general corporate purposes.

Photronics Inc. (PLAB) stock slid 3.18 percent to $8.21 in the after-market trading.

American Capital Agency Corp. (AGNC) stock declined 3.16 percent to $28.18 in the after-market trading. The company said it priced a public offering of 28 million shares of common stock for total estimated gross proceeds of about $780 million. The company has granted the underwriters an option for 30 days to purchase up to an additional 4.20 million shares of common stock to cover overallotments, if any.

American Capital Agency expects to use the net proceeds from this offering to acquire additional agency securities as market conditions warrant and for general corporate purposes. The offering is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close on March 25.

ON Semiconductor Corp. (ONNN) stock decreased 2.83 percent to $9.61 in the after-market trading.
