RTTNews - The U.S. Labor Department revealed that producer prices, a key measure of wholesale inflation, rose 1.8 percent in June. This followed a rise of 0.2 percent increase that took place the previous month.

Core producer prices, which exclude the impact of the volatile food and energy sectors, climbed 0.5 percent.

Energy prices were higher by 6.6 percent, the Labor Department said.
