


BEIJING -- (Marketwire) -- 07/21/10 -- China Techfaith Wireless Communication Technology Limited (NASDAQ: CNTF) ("TechFaith") today announced it will launch the first official Barbie-branded mobile phone in the China market on July 27, 2010 through Glomate Mobile (Beijing) Co Ltd, a joint venture between TechFaith and D Magic Mobile Inc. Glomate is the sole China sales agent of Barbie-branded mobile phones produced by D Magic Mobile Inc., which has obtained a non-exclusive license from Mattel to product Barbrie-branded mobile phones in China. The launch will be held at Mattel Inc.'s flagship Barbie store in Shanghai.
The first official Barbie-branded mobile phone for the China market is designed to target fashion and pop culture conscious ladies. The sleek, pink dual band (900/1800) GSM phone will feature a 3.0 inch touch screen, Bluetooth, high quality MP3/MP4 and an integrated 2.0 mega pixel camera.
