LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwire) -- 07/21/10 -- Ever wondered what it would be like to ride a motorcycle or a scooter? Has it been 'too long' since you last sat in the saddle?
Well the dare devil Red Arrows team felt just that way and decided to get on a bike and try it out for themselves... and they loved it SO much they have decided to travel on two wheels from Lands End to John O'Groats!
Be one of the first to find out how and why - come and meet the Red Arrows team at the 'Get On' Free Ride arena at Farnborough International Airshow! Better still.... You get the chance to try it out for yourself and experience the thrill of what its like on two wheels...
The 'Get On' campaign is a major new initiative launched last year by the motorcycle industry to promote the benefits that life on two wheels can bring. This includes beating congestion, being more environmentally friendly, being more economical as well as giving a greater sense of fun and freedom.
Many of us have thought about riding a motorcycle at some point but may have thought that the law was too complicated, or that we might not be able to master the control of a bike - but for whatever reason there is no excuse now not to have a go- Get On makes it easy and FREE.
The Get On campaign features a new groundbreaking interactive website, www.geton.co.uk which offers a mass of information, great features, interesting stories and a new community area which will allow you to share your riding experiences with other new and existing riders. Through this website you will be able to book a Free Ride at one of the 160+ approved Free Ride providers up and down the country.
The interactive element allows users to ask a panel of experts any questions they may have. The site also allows users to create their own profiles and share their experiences via blogs, videos, pictures and the Facebook page.
The campaign also launched the 'Get On Roadshow', a mobile 'experiential' unit which is heading out across the UK in 2010 taking with it a fleet of bikes and a team of fully qualified instructors offering anyone a chance to swing a leg over a scooter or motorcycle and try it for real. So why not make your way to meet us, and the Red Arrows team, at Farnborough next weekend where you can actually experience the Free Ride!
