GRAPEVINE, TX -- (Marketwire) -- 08/06/10 -- Fine Italian automobiles will once again grace North Texas when the Italian Car Club of the Southwest hosts its annual ItalianCarFest on Sept. 11, 2010, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Grapevine, Texas. The show will be held at historic Nash Farm with a wonderful display of Italian cars and two wheelers that will also include a strong selection of Alfa Romeos, as the marque celebrates its 100-year birthday.
The event is accepting entries, and the forms are available at www.ItalianCarFest.org. General admission and parking at ItalianCarFest 2010 will be free.
"ItalianCarFest is one of the largest events of its kind in the Southwest and attracts some of the most fantastic vintage and contemporary vehicles by Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati and Alfa, along with much more," said Bob Dezzany, ItalianCarFest chairman. "The cars on display will exemplify the passion that we all have for their Italian-manufactured automobiles."
Awards at the event will include Best of Show, Best of Class honors and a Mayor's Choice Award for best Alfa Romeo to be presented by Mayor William D. Tate of Grapevine. ItalianCarFest will be held at the 150-year-old farmstead located in the heart of downtown Grapevine where vendors will offer everything from Italian sandwiches to gelato, while enthusiasts can also browse the 'Friends of ICF' automotive vendors.
"This event wouldn't be possible without support from the Grapevine Convention and Visitor Bureau," added Dezzany. "The city has been extremely supportive throughout the planning process and has helped fund this event for all of the Dallas-Fort Worth community to enjoy."
ItalianCarFest is produced by the Italian Car Club of the Southwest, a non-profit organization formed to share and promote a passion for Italian automobiles while giving back to North Texas communities.
