Qualico Steel Certified for Nuclear Power Project Steel Fabrication

WEBB, AL -- (Marketwire) -- 08/09/10 -- Qualico Steel Company Incorporated (Webb, Alabama) is pleased to announce certification to furnish materials under the NQA-1 Program, Levels QL-1, QL-2, QL-3 and QL-4. This upgraded certification is preparatory to fabrication of a project recently awarded requiring those certifications and including Required for Safety (RFS) materials, as well as seismic criteria. Qualico looks forward to the opportunity afforded by this challenging project and the certain resurgence of nuclear power in the United States. The nuclear power industry has demonstrated that it is the world's largest source and best choice to provide emission-free energy.

For the past 12-plus years, Qualico has been very active in the power industry, with extensive experience in emissions-control and new generation projects and is pleased to announce growth in capabilities and certification to better support the power industry.
