Palm Beach Gardens, FL, September 27, 2011 --(PR.com)-- Jeff Lichtenstein, one of Jupiter, Florida’s top real estate agents, was recognized this month for his contribution and dedication to helping fight cancer. Women’s Cancer Awareness 2011 held a fundraiser at the PGA National to raise funds for cancer awareness and research. Jeff Lichtenstein and several others were instrumental in raising $108,000 for a charity that is near and dear to his heart. The funds raised were donated directly to the Ella Milbank Foshay Cancer Center at Jupiter Medical Center, designated to the Daniel C. Searle Clinical Trials Access Program.

Jeff Lichtenstein is very involved in cancer related charities due to his mother’s recent brush with esophageal cancer. She under went laser radiation treatments and chemotherapy for two months and eventually had her esophagus removed. Today she is doing well, and currently participates in clinical trials to improve medical science’s grasp on the causes of esophageal cancer.

"My sister went through Thyroid Cancer at age 13. The toll mentally at age 13 was difficult along with the physical complications. After 2 surgeries and radioactive iodine, she is cancer free. My Mother was diagnosed and beat esophageal cancer this year. Without advancements through donations in the past 30-40 years, neither of them would be around. My help with Women’s Cancer Awareness is dedicated to them," said Jeff Lichtenstein, owner of Jeff Realty in Jupiter, Florida.
