Invisco Selects KPK for HVI-916 Testing for the State of California

Invisco Whole House Fan Co. has selected KPK to perform the detailed testing required by the State of California's Energy Commission. The tests involve test equipment designed to meet the Home Ventilation Institute's HVI-916 specification.
Temecula, CA, February 04, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Invisco Whole House Fan Company in Temecula, California, has contracted with KPK in Wildomar, California to perform the detailed testing of 9 models of whole house fans using test equipment that is custom designed to meet the stringent requirements of the Home Ventilating Institute's HVI-916 Specification.
That specification, in turn, refers to even more detailed specifications, the ANSI/AMCA210 - ANSI/ASHRAE 51, "Laboratory Methods of Testing Fans for Aerodynamic Performance Rating." That specification was jointly published by the Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA) and the American Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).
This testing is required by the State of California's Energy Commission in order for Invisco systems to be listed on the State's list of certified suppliers. Once listed there, Southern California Edison will add Invisco to their list of certified suppliers that are eligible for rebates and tax incentives. Riverside County's WRCOG program will also add Invisco to their list of qualified suppliers. It is expected that other states, counties and energy suppliers will do the same.
The systems to be tested are all attic mounted and ducted whole house fans with fan blades in diameters of 16 inches, 18, 20, 22, 24, 30, 36, 42, and 48 inches. These systems move air at volumes ranging from 2500 CFM up to over 14,000 CFM. Duct options include connections to 2 rooms or more.
Invisco's whole house fan systems all come with a positive sealing damper placed right over the hole in your room's ceiling to minimize flow of cold air down in the winter. To finish off the look of your room's ceiling all Invisco systems come with custom made round designer frames and white egg crate grilles. The frames are wood and can be painted to match any decor.
