Houston, TX, February 11, 2012 --(PR.com)-- Central Concrete Supply Co., Inc., a U.S. Concrete, Inc. operating company, today announced that it has received the 2012 AGC National Community Award as one of the contributors to the “Camp Via West” project in Cupertino, California. The “AGC in the Community Awards” will be given during the Opening General Convention Session at AGC of America’s 93rd Annual Convention on March 14th in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Camp Via West (formally known as Camp Costanoan) is a nonprofit camp that has served individuals with special needs and disabilities since 1945. The camp was selected by AGC of California’s Santa Clara District as the community organization to benefit from AGC’s charitable arm members expertise. Several areas at the camp were identified by AGC member services for renovation and repairs. As a AGC Santa Clara District member, Central Concrete supplied 45 cubic yards of high quality, environmentally friendly concrete color mixes (Colorfast EF®) that were used in the trail from the camp to the sports court. The trail was needed to replace a muddy and rutted dirt trail that made it difficult for disabled youth campers with wheel chairs to access the sports court facility to view or take part in the activities. Central Concrete’s Westside Concrete Materials has also contributed numerous other materials needed to complete the work.
