Tesla Motors Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA) stock climbed 7.26 percent to $91.00 in pre-market trading. The company on Wednesday announced that it will sell 2.7 million shares of its common stock and $450 million in convertible debt due 2018 in concurrent underwritten registered public offerings. Tesla intends to use the net proceeds from the offerings to prepay company’s outstanding loan from the United States Department of Energy, pay the cost of convertible note hedge transactions and also for general corporate purposes.

Halozyme Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ:HALO) stock surged 4.60 percent to $7.05 in pre-market trading. The stock has a 52-week low of $3.86, a 52-week high of $9.92 and $762.45 million in market capitalization.

Southwest Airlines Co. (NYSE:LUV) stock rose 4.60 percent to $15.00 in pre-market trading. The company on Wednesday announced that it will increase its quarterly dividend to $0.04 per share from $0.01 per share. Southwest’s board also increased the company's existing $1 billion share repurchase authorization to $1.5 billion.
