Ralcorp Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:RAH) shares surged 6.95 percent to $89.12 in pre-market trading session on news that ConAgra Foods made a proposal to acquire Ralcorp for $86 per share in cash or about $4.9 billion, excluding the assumption of $2.5 billion in debt.

CBS Corp. (NYSE:CBS) shares gained 4.99 percent to $26.50 in pre-market trading session. The company swung to first quarter net profit of $202 million or $0.29 per share compared to a net loss of $26 million or $0.04 per share in the same quarter last year.

AOL, Inc. (NYSE:AOL) shares gained 3.77 percent to $21.17 in pre-market trading session. The company reported first quarter net income of $4.7 million or $0.04 per share compared to $34.7 million or $0.32 per share in the same quarter last year. Revenue declined to $551.4 million from $664.3 million last year. Analysts’ expected net income of $0.17 per share on revenues of $536.35 million.

Teradyne Inc. (NYSE:TER) shares advanced 2.42 percent to $2.42 in pre-market trading session. Citigroup analysts reiterated a “buy” rating on shares of TER and have a price target of $24.00 on the stock.

Comcast Corp. (NASDAQ:CMCSA) shares advanced 2.52 percent to $27.28 in pre-market trading session. The company reported first quarter net income of $0.34 per share in line with analysts’ estimation. Revenue rose 31.8 percent to $12.13 billion.

Applied Materials Inc. (NASDAQ:AMAT) shares gained 2.03 percent to $15.55 in pre-market trading session. The company announced on Wednesday that it agreed to buy chip-equipment maker Varian Semiconductor Equipment Associates Inc. for $63 a share in cash for a total price of around $4.9 billion on a fully-diluted basis.

Sanofi-Aventis SA (NYSE:SNY) shares gained 1.4 percent to $40.61 in pre-market trading session. The stock has a 52 week low of $28.01 and 52 week high of $40.22 and has $105.06 billion market capitalization.

Las Vegas Sands Corp. (NYSE:LVS) shares plunged 6 percent to $43.01 in pre-market trading session as its first quarter earnings fell short of analysts’ expectations. Net income rose to $299.4 million or $0.37 per share compared to $53.5 million or $0.07 per share in the same quarter last year, while analysts’ expected net income of $0.44 per share.

JinkoSolar Holding Co. Ltd. (NYSE:JKS) shares declined 2.81percent to $25.25 in pre-market trading session. Brean Murray maintained Buy rating on shares of JKS and raised price target to $35 from $32.

MGM Resorts International (NYSE:MGM) shares declined 1.86 percent to $12.65 in pre-market trading session. The company stock was downgraded to “underperform” rating from “neutral” rating at Credit Suisse. Credit Suisse lowered price target on shares of MGM to $11 from $14.

McKesson Corp. (NYSE:MCK) shares declined 1.36 percent to $82.00 in pre-market trading session. The company reported fourth quarter net income of $422 million or $1.62 per share compared $348 million or $1.26 per share in the same quarter last year.
