Nokia Corp. (NYSE:NOK) stock surged 3.17 percent to $3.58 in pre-market trading. The stock has a 52-week low of $1.63, a 52-week high of $5.57 and $12.99 billion in market capitalization.

Alcatel Lucent SA (NYSE:ALU) stock advanced 2.88 percent to $1.43 in pre-market trading. Analysts at Bernstein last week upgraded shares of Alcatel to “market perform” rating from “underperform” rating.

Rio Tinto Plc (NYSE:RIO) stock gained 2.24 percent to $51.61 in pre-market trading.  The stock has a 52-week low of $41.59, a 52-week high of $60.45 and $93.25 billion in market capitalization.

United States Steel Corp. (NYSE:X) stock gained 1.25 percent to $20.28 in pre-market trading. The stock has a 52-week low of $17.67, a 52-week high of $32.05 and $2.89 billion in market capitalization.

Weyerhaeuser Co. (NYSE:WY) stock plunged 4.14 percent to $28.71 in pre-market trading. The stock has a 52-week low of $18.60, a 52-week high of $31.74 and $16.24 billion in market capitalization.

 

J.C. Penney Co, Inc. (NYSE:JCP) stock declined 1.43 percent to $16.50 in pre-market trading. Vornado Realty Trust, one of Penney's largest shareholders, sold almost half its stake in the struggling department store company, Bloomberg reported citing two people familiar with the offering.
