Google Q2 2012 Results

Google Inc. (GOOG) stock advanced 2.74 percent to $609.30 in pre-market trading. The search engine giant reported second quarter net profit of $2.79 billion or $8.42 per share, up from $2.51 billion or $7.68 per share in the same period a year ago. Adjusted net income rose to $3.35 billion or $10.12 per share from $2.85 billion or $8.74 per share last year and also topped analysts' estimate of $10.04 per share.

Diageo plc (DEO) gained 2.79 percent to $109.13 in pre-market trading. The stock has a 52-week low of $72.27, a 52-week high of $106.71 and $66.50 billion in market capitalization.

Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) stock gained 1.81 percent to $31.22 in pre-market trading. The company swung to fourth quarter net loss of $492 million or $0.06 per share, hurt mainly by a hefty goodwill impairment charge related to aQuantive acquisition, an advertising business Microsoft acquired in 2007 in an effort to catch up with Google's ad business. Adjusted net income was $0.73 per share on revenues of $18.60 billion compared to Reuters estimate of $0.62 per share on revenues of $18.13 billion.

salesforce.com, Inc. (CRM) stock advanced 1.21 percent to $140.80 in pre-market trading. The stock has a 52-week low of $94.09, a 52-week high of $164.75 and $19.20 billion in market capitalization.

Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc. (CMG) stock slumped 14.07 percent to $347.05 in pre-market trading. The company reported the second quarter net profit of $81.7 million or $2.56 per share, up from $50.7 million or $1.59 per share in the same period a year ago. Revenue rose 20.9 percent to $690.93 but fell short of analysts' estimate of $707.09 million.

Amyris Inc. (AMRS) stock plunged 6.48 percent to $3.32 in pre-market trading.

Vodafone Group Plc (VOD) stock plunged 2.93 percent to $28.00 in pre-market trading as its first quarter revenue misses estimates. Vodafone Group revenue declined 7.7 percent to 10.77 billion pounds, missing the 10.91-billion pound analyst estimate as customers in Spain and Italy cut spending and growth in India slowed, Bloomberg reported.

ARM Holdings plc (ARMH) stock declined 1.23 percent to $23.32 in pre-market trading. The company stock surged more than 5 percent in regular trading Thursday.
