Frontline Ltd. (FRO) stock advanced 1.01 percent to $4.02 in pre-market trading.

Nokia Corp. (NOK) stock slumped 8.96 percent to $2.54 in pre-market trading after the company had announced that it planned to cut 10,000 jobs globally as part of its revamping measures. The Finland-based cell phone manufacturer also announced that it would shut down production and research sites in Finland, Germany and Canada.

Credit Suisse Group AG (CS) stock plunged 7.86 percent to $18.28 in pre-market trading after the Swiss National Bank said that Credit Suisse should raise capital more quickly in order to shield it from the escalating euro zone debt crisis.

Smithfield Foods, Inc. (SFD) stock plunged 4.29 percent to $18.73 in pre-market trading. The company reported fourth quarter net profit of $79.5 million or $0.49 per share, down from $98.4 million or $0.59 per share in the same quarter a last year. Net sales rose to $3.21 billion from $3.12 billion last year but fell short of Reuters' expectation of $3.26 billion.

3D Systems Corp. (DDD) stock fell 3.21 percent to $28.61 in pre-market trading. On Wednesday, the company announced the pricing of an underwritten public offering of 3,700,000 shares of its common stock at a price of $27.00 per share.
