Zynga Shares Plunge Again Follow Third Quarter Earnings Report
Zynga shares (Nasdaq: ZNGA) took another nosedive following a weak but slightly better than expected third quarter earnings report.  Reuters

Zynga Inc, Synacor, Symantec Corp, Akamai Technologies, Facebook, Honeywell International, F5 Networks, Logitech International SA and Abercrombie & Fitch Co. are among the companies whose shares are moving in pre-market trading Thursday.

Zynga Inc. (ZNGA) stock rallied 15.08 percent to $2.45 in pre-market trading. The company swung to the third quarter net loss of $53 million or $0.07 per share compared to net income of $13 million or breakeven earnings per share in the same period last year. Adjusted net loss was $0.4 million or nil per share compared to the net income of $32 million or $0.04 per share and better than Reuters’ estimate for loss of $0.01 per share. Revenue rose 3 percent to $317 million from last year and also topped analysts’ estimate of $256.43 million.

Synacor Inc. (SYNC) stock climbed 13.64 percent to $7.00 in pre-market trading. The company reported the third quarter net profit of $0.02 per share in line with analysts’ estimate. Quarterly revenue rose 18 percent to $28.3 million from the same period last year.

Symantec Corp. (SYMC) stock climbed 10.47 percent to $19.20 in pre-market trading. The company reported the second quarter net income of $193 million or $0.27 per share, up from $182 million or $0.24 per share in the same quarter last year. Adjusted net profit was $322 million or $0.45 per share, above analysts’ estimate of $0.38 per share.

Akamai Technologies, Inc. (AKAM) stock surged 8.28 percent to $39.10 in pre-market trading. Its third quarter GAAP net income rose to $48 million or $0.27 per share from $42 million or $0.23 per share in the same period last year. Revenue surged 23 percent to $345 million compared to same quarter last year.

Facebook Inc. (FB) stock gained 1.68 percent to $23.62 in pre-market trading. The stock rallied more than 19 percent in regular trading Wednesday after the company reported the third quarter earnings. Third quarter adjusted net profit rose to $311 million or $0.12 per share from $273 million or $0.12 per share last year and topped Reuters’ estimate of $0.11 per share. Revenue surged 32 percent to $1.26 billion from the same period last year, above analysts’ estimate of $1.23 billion.

Honeywell International Inc. (HON) stock advanced 1.20 percent to $61.75 in pre-market trading. The stock has a 52-week low of $48.82, a 52-week high of $63.48 and $47.80 billion in market capitalization.

F5 Networks, Inc. (FFIV) stock tumbled 11.06 percent to $83.00 in pre-market trading. The company reported the fourth quarter net income of $67.7 million or $0.85 per share, up from $67.6 million or $0.84 per share in the same period last year. Adjusted net income was $1.12 per share, up from $1.06 per share but fell short of Reuters’ estimate of $1.18 per share. F5 Networks expects first quarter adjusted net profit to be in a range of $1.14 to $1.16 per share on revenues of $363 to $370 million, below analysts’ estimate of $1.20 per share on revenues of $373.50 million.

Logitech International SA (LOGI) stock plunged 7.19 percent to $8.13 in pre-market trading. Its second quarter net profit surged to 54.87 million or $0.35 per share from $17million or $0.10 per share in the same period last year. Quarterly revenue declined 7 percent to $548 million and also fell short of analysts’ estimation of $571.36 million.

Abercrombie & Fitch Co. (ANF) stock declined 1.40 percent to $30.38 in pre-market trading. The stock has a 52-week low of $28.64, a 52-week high of $77.49 and $2.54 billion in market capitalization.
