‘Preacher’ Season 2 Spoilers: Jesse To Face The Saint Of Killers

“Preacher” Season 2 is expected to be more explosive than the first installment.

Fans who attended the SXSW 2017 in Austin already have some idea about the plot of the upcoming season as they were treated to the first few minutes of the “Preacher” Season 2 premiere episode. According to Bleeding Cool, Jesse (Dominic Cooper) and the rest of the gang will face a familiar villain in the upcoming season, and the former will also get to meet some relatives from his mom’s side of the family.

In the upcoming season, Jesse, Tulip (Ruth Negga) and Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) will also go on a road trip to find God. However, they might encounter some trouble before finding the one they are looking for as they will come across the Saint of Killers.

The Saint of Killers is an immortal killing machine who was first introduced in Ennis and Steve Dillon’s “Preacher” graphic novel. The character has already appeared in the first season and was played by Graham McTavis, Inverse reported. According to the publication, the Saint of Killers will be the main antagonist in the upcoming season, and the trio will try to avoid being caught by him. But it will not be easy as Jesse and the gang will find it hard to stop or even slow down the Saint of Killers.

Aside from battling this season’s antagonist, rescuing Eugene (Ian Colletti) from Hell will also be a big part of the “Preacher” Season 2 storyline. In addition, while the first season featured Jesse’s father, the upcoming season’s plot will highlight his mom and her side of the family. It will also put the spotlight on and explore Jesse and Tulip’s relationship.

“Preacher” Season 2 will have 13 episodes. Pip Torrens, Malcolm Barrett and Julia Emory and Noah Taylor are all joining the cast for the second season.

In another news, “Preacher” Season 1 is coming to Hulu. The complete season will be available for streaming starting April 5, CNET reported.
