President Barack Obama is scheduled to appear in a Google+ Hangout next Friday, Jan. 31. The 44th president will answer questions from a pre-selected group of Google+ users three days after his annual State of the Union address to Congress, which begins at 9 p.m. EST Tuesday.

Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) is asking prospective participants to record a 60-second video describing themselves, where they are from and the question they would like to ask Obama. Users then have to publicly share the videos using YouTube or Google Plus and the hashtag #AskObama2014.

Obama will be connected directly to Google+ users in the “virtual whistlestop tour,” answering questions and listening to responses to his speech. Google did not announce what time the Hangout would occur, only announcing that it would take place on Friday.

Google will be livestreaming the State of the Union Tuesday on YouTube, as well as House Speaker John Boehner of Ohio giving the Republican response. Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly will interview Obama on Feb. 2, as part of Fox’s Super Bowl Sunday pregame show.
