As Senior Planner and Scheduler of TRO Projects with Suncor Energy, as well as throughout his brilliant professional career, Mr. Bomi has consistently displayed the passion, vision, and dedication necessary to be successful in the business world.
Mike is a seasoned Project Management Professional who is responsible for leading the planning and scheduling efforts on the Suncor Energy Tailing Reduction Operations (TRO) program. Over the course of his career Mr. Bomi has worked in many oil and gas companies including Shell Petroleum Development Company in Nigeria, DAEWOO E & C and ABB SOIMI Limited. He has over 22 years of project control experience with billion dollar mega projects in the oil and gas, mining, and extraction sectors. Some of those key major projects include the Nigerian Liquidified Natural Gas (NLNG) Train 1 & 2 plant, Shell Cawthorne Channel Integrated / Awoba Concrete barges plant and Suncor Steepbank Extraction Plant 300 (SEP 300) project in Canada.
Mr. Mike Bomi is a self-motivating individual whose incredibly strong track record in project execution further consists of providing leadership for multiple project controls functions on cost, planning and scheduling, estimating, change management and indirect cost.
During his collegiate career, Mike earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Lagos, Post Graduate Diploma in Project Management Technology from the Federal University of Technology Owerri, and a Certificate in Construction Administration from the University of Alberta. Mr. Bomi is also a member of the Project Management Institute and AACE International. He is currently pursuing an MBA with the University of Athabasca, Canada.
Mike Bomi is happily married with children and resides in Alberta, Canada. He states “I attribute all these successes to the Almighty God.”
