“Pretty Little Liars” is in full swing! Season 5 of the hit ABC family show premiered Tuesday, finally unmasking – and accidentally killing – the mysterious “A.” But that doesn’t mean that Alison, Aria, Emily, Spencer and Hanna are free of drama now that their tormentor is gone.

WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD!

As we reported in our recap, Shana has supposedly been the Liars' hooded villain (although we’re not completely buying it). Alison’s former childhood friend surprised everyone when she stalked them at the Fitzgerald Theater – gun in hand. The teen revealed that she wanted justice for Jenna, whom she had developed romantic feelings for. But the girls just got Alison back and weren’t going to lose her all over again. In a surprising twist, Aria appeared behind Shana with a prop gun. Before Shana could pull the trigger on her friends, Aria knocked “A” off the theater stage … sending her to her death.

Where does that leave “Pretty Little Liars” fans in episode 2?

According to a synopsis for “Whirly Girlie,” all five ladies will be back in Rosewood – but still “living under a cloud of secrets.” How much will they tell the police about Alison’s disappearance and “A’s” antics? Viewers will have to wait and see, but either way the Liars will each be struggling in their own way.

Aria will be “haunted by the recent past events” – more than likely due to her involvement in Shana’s death. Meanwhile Emily, Hanna and Spencer will be trying to figure out the “new normal” of having Alison back around and out in the open. But even Alison can’t return to normal. Forced to return to her home, Alison is “still sleeping with one eye open” due to her distrust of her family. And with the disappearance of Jessica, it appears the DiLaurentis family will never leave the spotlight. The synopsis teases that eyebrows will be raised over Jason’s “odd” behavior and Kenneth’s search for his estranged wife.
