The Liars are out of “A’s” dollhouse, but they’re far from okay. Season 6 of “Pretty Little Liars” continues Tuesday with the mystery of Charles/“A.” But just because Aria (Lucy Hale), Emily (Shay Mitchell), Spencer (Troian Bellisario) and Hanna (Ashley Benson) are free, doesn’t mean that things will go back to normal.

The synopsis for episode 2, titled “Songs of Innocence,” teases that the Liars will “turn to their moms for comfort after their terrifying experience.” But it doesn’t look like their moms can fully help them recover from being tortured by Charles.

“What happened to you in that room?” Hanna’s mother Ashley (Laura Leighton) asks her daughter. Hanna doesn’t respond – and “Pretty Little Liars” fans don’t know either. Viewers heard screams coming from the girls in the season premiere episode when Charles finally let them return to their rooms after their escape attempt. When the Liars finally emerged from their rooms, they asked each other if they were okay but didn’t discuss what happened inside.

Since Season 6 is the “Summer of Answers,” viewers are bound to find out. But right now, it’s safe to assume that whatever Charles did to them was enough to traumatize them, because Hanna had her room completely stripped clean. Everything from the wallpaper, to her bed and belongings is gone. On top of all that, Hanna confesses to her friends that she’s afraid that their escape was only a hallucination and that they “never really got out.”

Unfortunately, Hanna won’t be the only one suffering in episode 2. The promo shows Emily at a shooting range learning how to use a gun. Meanwhile, Alison (Sasha Pieterse) is looking to get some answers. She was questioned about Charles DiLaurentis in the finale and seemingly never heard the name before. However, it looks like she’s willing to do anything to find out.

“Who is Charles DiLaurentis?” she asks her father.

“What?” he replies. But Alison is not willing to play his games.

“Not what,” she tells him. “Who?”
