“Pretty Little Liars” fans are finally getting some much needed answers after seasons worth of questions. Although “A” is still a mystery, viewers received one big clue about his/her identity during the Season 5 finale – “Charles.”

Fans will remember that the season ended with Aria (Lucy Hale), Spencer (Troian Bellisario), Emily (Shay Mitchell) and Hanna (Ashley Benson) captured by “A” and trapped inside a “dollhouse.” It was there that they discovered that Mona (Janel Parrish) wasn’t dead. Mona was alive and well, however “A” had forced her to play a “game.” The teen was made to believe that she was really Alison (Sasha Pieterse). She had her hair dyed blonde and even wore Alison’s infamous yellow top.

While the Mona reveal was shocking, it was nothing compared to what Spencer figured out while trapped inside the dollhouse. Looking at letter blocks that were in a toy room in the dollhouse, Spencer was able to come up with the name “Charles.” But who is Charles? We’re breaking down everything we know so far before the Season 6 premiere:

The Video

While the Liars tried to escape the dollhouse in the Season 5 finale, Spencer made a pit stop to check out a mysterious room. What she found inside was some of Charles’ most prized possessions. Included in the room was a video of Alison’s mom with two twin boys. Does Jason (Drew Van Acker) have a twin? And is that twin Charles?

Charles Has Been Around

The Charles reveal was certainly new for fans, but executive producer Oliver Goldstick revealed to Entertainment Weekly in March that the character has been around.

“Yes, we’ve seen this person before,” he teased. “Indeed we have.”

A DiLaurentis Relative

Actress Sasha Pieterse told EW that Charles is definitely a DiLaurentis – however her character Alison knows nothing about him! She explained to the site that her character will have a lot of questions for the Liars when she finds out about Charles.

Don’t Miss The End Of The Episode

“Pretty Little Liars” fans should stay glued to their seats, says star Sasha Pieterse. The actress dished to E! Online that #Charles will definitely be trending on Twitter during the Season 6 premiere, as well as a “huge secret.”

“There’s one huge, like weird thing that happens that no one is expecting at the end of the episode and it will freak you out,” Pieterse explained.

What We’ll Learn This Season

Season 6 is said to be the “summer of answers,” but right now it seems like there are more questions. How does Charles have so much money and resources? Why is he obsessed with the Liars? How is he connected to the DiLaurentis family? It’s unclear how much we’ll learn, but fans will definitely find out why he’s so focused on the girls. Goldstick also promised the Hollywood Reporter that Charles’ face would be revealed, and that the identity would be a “shocker” for viewers. Fans can look for clues within the first few episodes.

“Pretty Little Liars” Season 6 premieres on Tuesday, June 2 at 8 p.m. EDT.
